  • Application for Approval of Proposed Merger of Homeland Insurance Company of New York with and into OneBeacon Select Insurance Company

     Homeland Insurance Company of New York, a New York domiciled stock property and casualty insurance company, has filed an application for approval to merge with OneBeacon Select Insurance Company, a domestic stock property and casualty insurance company, with OneBeacon Select Insurance Company surviving the merger. The filing was made under Article XIV of The Insurance Company Law of 1921 (40 P. S. §§ 991.1401—991.1413); 15 Pa.C.S. §§ 1921—1932 (relating to merger liabilities and sale of assets); and the GAA Amendment Act of 1990 (15 P. S. §§ 21101—21404).

     Persons wishing to comment on the merger are invited to submit a written statement to the Insurance Department (Department) within 30 days from the date of this issue of the Pennsylvania Bulletin. Each written statement must include name, address and telephone number of the interested party; identification of the application to which the statement is addressed; and a concise statement with sufficient detail and relevant facts to inform the Department of the exact basis of the statement.
