Application for Approval of Proposed Merger of Atlantic Specialty Insurance Company with and into OneBeacon Specialty Insurance Company

 Atlantic Specialty Insurance Company, a New York domiciled stock property and casualty insurance company, has filed an application for approval to merge with OneBeacon Specialty Insurance Company, a domestic stock property and casualty insurance company, with OneBeacon Specialty Insurance Company surviving the merger. The filing was made under Article XIV of The Insurance Company Law of 1921 (40 P. S. §§ 991.1401—991.1413); 15 Pa.C.S. §§ 1921—1932 (relating to merger liabilities and sale of assets); and the GAA Amendment Act of 1990 (15 P. S. §§ 21101—21404).

 Persons wishing to comment on the merger are invited to submit a written statement to the Insurance Department (Department) within 30 days from the date of this issue of the Pennsylvania Bulletin. Each written statement must include name, address and telephone number of the interested party; identification of the application to which the statement is addressed; and a concise statement with sufficient detail and relevant facts to inform the Department of the exact basis of the statement.
