Notes of Decisions (§ 211.72)

The Commonwealth satisfied the posting requirements of this section by posting a 55 miles per hour speed zone sign at the point where the speed limit increased from 35 miles per hour. Commonwealth v. Wilkins, 605 A.2d 363 (Pa. Super. 1992).

Rebuttal presumption created that sign was posted in urban district; Commonwealth need not establish urban character of area within which road located as element offense. Commonwealth v. Parker, 567 A.2d 1052 (Pa. Super. 1989); appeal denied 578 A.2d 927 (Pa. 1990).
