Section 75.23. General knowledge examination for commercial drivers license

(a) General. A person who desires a commercial drivers license shall submit to a commercial drivers license general knowledge examination as authorized under 75 Pa.C.S. § 1607(a) (relating to commercial drivers license qualification standards).
(b) Content of general knowledge examination. The examination shall consist of at least 50 questions taken from the most recent edition of the Pennsylvania Commercial Drivers Manual.
(c) Scoring. An applicant who correctly answers 80% or more of the questions shall pass the examination. Cheating, failure to obey the instructions of the examiner, offering bribes or gratuities to the examiner, fraud or misrepresentation constitutes an automatic failure of the general knowledge examination.
