(a) The quantity of food served shall meet minimum daily requirements as recommended by the United States Department of Agriculture, unless otherwise recommended in writing by a licensed physician, certified nurse practitioner or licensed physicians assistant for a specific child.
(b) Additional portions of meals shall be available for the children.
