Section 1017.1. Definitions

The following words and terms, when used in this chapter, have the following meanings, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:
Antique vehicleA motor vehicle, but not a reproduction thereof, that is 25 years old or older as provided in § 1017.3(a) (relating to age and milage computation), which has been maintained in or restored to a condition, which is substantially in conformance with manufacturer specifications.
Compliance inspectionThe inspection of a taxicab or taxicab equipment, or both, by the Authority to assure compliance with the act, this part and orders of the Authority, which will include all of the components of a State inspection, except that emissions testing will not occur. Anytime the inspection of a taxicab, a meter or other taxicab service related equipment is required by the act, this part or an order of the Authority it will be a compliance inspection.
Field inspectionThe unscheduled inspection of a taxicab by an inspector for compliance with the act, this part and all orders of the Authority.
State inspectionThe annual inspection required under 75 Pa.C.S. Chapter 47 (relating to inspection of vehicles).
TLD inspection stickerA certificate of inspection issued and affixed by the Enforcement Department to a vehicle subject to this part upon confirmation of compliance with the act, this part or orders of the Authority after a compliance inspection.
