Section 3.21. Purpose

The purpose of this subchapter is to assign, in accordance with the provisions of the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Services Act of 1978 (P. L. 1332) emergency management responsibilities to Commonwealth departments and agencies for the mitigation of, preparedness for, response to and recovery from natural and man-made emergencies in the Commonwealth.
