This subchapter implements section 635.2(g) of The Insurance Company Law of 1921 (40 P. S. § 764h(g)) to provide for the licensure of behavior specialists. To the extent that an individual holds a professional license whose scope of practice includes the diagnostic assessment or treatment of autism spectrum disorders, this subchapter is not intended to require dual licensure, impact the licensees scope of practice or impact the licensees ability to qualify as a participating provider.
