This subchapter interprets the requirements of the act that an insurer desiring to write workers compensation insurance in this Commonwealth shall maintain or provide adequate accident and illness prevention services as a prerequisite for a license to write this insurance. Services shall be adequate to furnish accident and illness prevention required by the nature of the insurers business or its policyholders operations. This subchapter also establishes the criteria that the Department will employ in determining the adequacy of the services required to be maintained or provided by an insurer.
