Section 211.16. Social services

(a) The facility shall provide social services designed to promote preservation of the residents physical and mental health and to prevent the occurrence or progression of personal and social problems. Facilities with a resident census of more than 120 residents shall employ a qualified social worker on a full-time basis.
(b) In facilities with 120 beds or less that do not employ a full-time social worker, social work consultation by a qualified social worker shall be provided and documented on a regular basis.
