Section 35.3. Definitions

The following words and terms, when used in this chapter, have the following meanings, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:
ActArticle XIX-A of the Public School Code of 1949 (24 P. S. § § 19-1901-A19-1913-A).
CollegeA locally sponsored public college or technical institute established and operated in accordance with the provisions of the act and which provides a 2-year, postsecondary, college parallel, terminal-general, terminal-technical, out-of-school youth or adult education program, or combination of these.
Local sponsorA school district or a municipality or combination of school districts or municipalities or both which participate or propose to participate in the establishment and operation of a community college.
MemberA school district or municipality which alone or with other districts and municipalities is included in a local sponsor.
MunicipalityA city, borough, town, township or county.
