In the Senate, the President refers the bill to an appropriate standing committee either on the day introduced or the succeeding legislative day. In the House, at the end of the days session, the Speaker refers the bill to an appropriate standing committee and reports its reference of each bill on either of the next two legislative days. A copy of each bill is provided to the committee, news media, legislative printing clerk and the Bureau.
