Pennsylvania Compensation Rating Bureau; Filing for Rate and Rule Manual Revisions [46 Pa.B. 5794]
[Saturday, September 3, 2016]On August 16, 2016, the Insurance Department received from the Pennsylvania Compensation Rating Bureau (Bureau) a filing proposing revisions to their underwriting guide. The filing includes the following proposed changes:
• The reclassification of Sod Farms from code 0013 Nursery to code 0006 Field Crop or Vegetable Farm. The currently approved Bureau loss costs for codes 0013 and 0006 are $3.33 and $3.50, respectively.
• Revisions to the scope of code 446 Precision Machined Parts Mfg., N.O.C. which may result in some employers presently assigned to code 461 to be eligible for reassignment to code 446. The currently approved Bureau loss costs for codes 461 and 446 are $2.24 and $1.30, respectively. Additionally, other employers presently assigned to code 446 may be deemed, upon a new review, to be misclassified resulting in reassignment to another to be determined classification.
• The reclassification of Oil Rig or Derrick Erecting and Dismantling by Contractor from code 655 Iron Erection to code 657 Rigging. The currently approved Bureau loss costs for codes 655 and 657 are $11.60 and $6.91, respectively.
• The reclassification of Truck Washing Services, Mobile from code 815 Automobile Service Center to code 971 Commercial Buildings. The currently approved Bureau loss costs for codes 815 and 971 are $2.90 and $2.98, respectively.
