[Saturday, September 27, 2008]By filing No. 08-N, Capital Blue Cross, requests approval to increase the premium rates for the hospital portion of its Individual Direct Pay Basic Hospitalization/Medical-Surgical/Major Medical Program. The filing requests an average increase of 9.9%. This will affect approximately 563 contracts and produce additional premium income of about $335,436 annually. The requested effective date of the change is January 1, 2009.
