Applications for Approval to Acquire Control of PMA Capital Insurance Company; Extension of Public Comment Period

   The Insurance Department (Department) published notice of receipt of the above-referenced filings at 38 Pa.B. 2748 (June 7, 2008). The notice afforded persons the opportunity to provide written comments on the filings to the Department on the grounds of public or private interest for a period to expire no earlier than September 5, 2008. The purpose of this notice is to announce the extension of the public comment period for an indefinite period of time to afford persons ample opportunity to provide written comments. A subsequent announcement will appear in the Pennsylvania Bulletin to provide notice of closing of the public comment period.
