[Saturday, September 10, 2016]The Department of Human Services (Department) is providing final notice of its funding allocation for trauma disproportionate share hospital (DSH) payments made to qualifying Medical Assistance enrolled acute care general hospitals for Fiscal Year (FY) 2015-2016. The Department did not otherwise change in the qualifying criteria or payment methodology for this payment from FY 2014-2015.
The Department published notice of its intent to continue funding for these DSH payments at 46 Pa.B. 1393 (March 12, 2016). The Department received no public comments during the 30-day comment period and will implement the change as described in its notice of intent.
Fiscal Impact
The FY 2015-2016 impact is $18.038 million ($8.656 million in State general funds).
