HealthGuard of Lancaster; Rate Filing [29 Pa.B. 4324] On July 12, 1999, HealthGuard of Lancaster, Inc. submitted a filing, requesting a base rate increase of 9.6%. This filing will affect approximately 51,250 contracts. The proposed increase will generate an additional annual premium income of $7,265,000. Rate increases have also been requested for riders that vary with the option selected. An effective date of October 1, 1999, is requested.
Copies of the filing are available for public inspection during normal working hours, by appointment, at the Insurance Department's Harrisburg Regional Office.
