     The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is soliciting bids for the following projects. Bid documents can be obtained from the Administrative Services Section, Bureau of Facility Design and Construction at (717) 787-5055:

    FDC-020-7552.1—Pleasant Stream Road, Lower Section, Slide, Slump and Culvert Repair, Tropical Storm Lee Damage, PW 1306, Loyalsock State Forest, McNett and McIntyre Townships, Lycoming County. Work included under this contract consists of the complete construction and installation work for the following:

     a. The replacement of a culvert that was damaged in the Tropical Storm Lee flooding. The culvert carries an unnamed tributary to Pleasant Stream; the 4-foot diameter 25-foot long culvert will be replaced by a 4-foot diameter, 40-foot long culvert with a stone headwall and endwall.

     b. The repair of a 3-foot slump in the roadway. The exact cause of the slump is unknown. Approximately 150 feet of roadway will be excavated to a depth of approximately 6 feet. Lifts of 1 foot of compacted backfill will be placed with geotextile fabric placed in between layers. A French Mattress to control drainage will be installed under the entire length of roadway. Two culverts will also be installed.

     c. The repair off a slide which has encroached on to the road and is located approximately 30 feet from the stream and 30 feet higher in elevation from the top of the bank. The slide will be repaired by means of soil nails with a Shotcrete surface.

     Bid documents will be available on or after July 31, 2013. The bid opening will be held on August 29, 2013.
