Tobacco Use Prevention and Cessation Advisory Committee Public Hearing and Public Meeting

   The Tobacco Use Prevention and Cessation Advisory Committee (Committee) of the Department of Health (Department) will hold a public hearing and a public meeting on September 28, 2005, in Room E-100, Labor and Industry Building, Seventh and Forster Streets, Harrisburg, PA.

   The public hearing will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Comments must be submitted in writing by 2:30 p.m. on September 23, 2005, to the Department of Health, Bureau of Chronic Diseases and Injury Prevention, Division of Tobacco Prevention and Control, Room 1006, Health and Welfare Building, Seventh and Forster Streets, Harrisburg, PA 17120, fax [phone]. Written comments must be limited to three typewritten pages. Persons who wish to present written statements orally at the public hearing must contact Brenda Reichert at [phone] by 2:30 p.m. on September 23, 2005, to make a reservation for testifying at the hearing. Oral testimony will be limited to 5 minutes. Persons will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis, as time permits.

   The public meeting of the Committee will be held from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the tobacco use prevention and cessation priorities for the State Fiscal Year 2005-06.

   This meeting is open to the public. No reservations are required to attend the public meeting.
