DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION Index Calculation Required by Special Session Act 1 of 2006 [36 Pa.B. 4736]
[Saturday, August 26, 2006]Under section 333(l) of SS Act 1 of 2006, known as the Taxpayer Relief Act, the Department of Education has calculated the index for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2007-2008.
The index is the average of the percentage increase in the Statewide average weekly wage and the Employment Cost Index. For the FY 2007-2008, the base index is 3.4%.
For school districts with a market value/income aid ratio greater than .4,000, an adjusted index will be posted on the Department's website at www.pde.state.pa.us/proptax by September 30, 2006.
