Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania; BlueCareSenior Pharmacy Rider; Rate Filing [42 Pa.B. 5603]
[Saturday, August 25, 2012]On August 7, 2012, Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania submitted a rate filing to increase the premium rates for the BlueCare Senior Pharmacy Rider. The filing proposes an average rate increase of 9.90% and will affect approximately 1,892 members. The proposed rate increase will generate approximately $604,000 of additional annual revenue. The requested effective date of the change is January 1, 2013.
Unless formal administrative action is taken prior to November 8, 2012, the subject filing may be deemed approved by operation of law.

A copy of the filing is also available for public inspection, by appointment, during normal working hours at the Department's regional office in Harrisburg.
