   On August 8, 2002, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield submitted Filing No. 1-DPMS-02-HBCBS, ID A62539001 requesting approval to increase the Direct Pay Medical Surgical Plan Rates for the Western Region. The proposed increase for UCR 100 is 23.1% and 17.7% for Plan C. The proposed effective date is January 1, 2003. This filing will impact 6,500 contract holders and will generate approximately $1.6 million in additional annual revenue.

   This filing is available for public inspection during normal working hours at the Insurance Department's regional offices in Harrisburg and Pittsburgh, PA.
