Independence Blue Cross; Blue Cross Non-Group Rate Increase; Filing No. 21-P-99 [29 Pa.B. 4500] By Filing No. 21-P-99, Independence Blue Cross submitted a proposal to increase the premium rates for its Non-Group Basic Blue Cross (8.67%) and Special Care (4.16%) lines of business. A January 1, 2000 effective date is proposed.
The proposed rate adjustment would affect approximately 25,000 contracts, and would produce additional premium income of $2.16 million a year.
Copies of the filing are available for public inspection during normal working hours, by appointment, at the Insurance Department's office in Philadelphia and Harrisburg.
