Maximum Allowable Prices and Competitive Prices for Type 1 Stores in Regular Cost Counties

   Under 28 Pa. Code §§ 1103.4(5) and 1105.3(a)(1) (relating to selection criteria for authorization and reauthorization and conditions of participation) and 7 CFR 246.12, the WIC Program hereby publishes notice of the Maximum Allowable Prices and Competitive Prices for Type 1 Stores in Regular Cost Counties.

Maximum Allowable Prices

   A store must permit purchase of WIC allowable foods that exceed the maximum allowable price to WIC participants using a WIC check; however, the amounts that exceed the maximum allowable price of any WIC allowable foods sold to WIC participants will be billed to the store on a quarterly basis in accordance with 28 Pa. Code § 1105.2 (relating to price adjustments).

Competitive Prices

   To remain WIC Authorized, each store must maintain the minimum inventory of the following WIC food items at, or below, the Competitive Prices listed for the store's peer group.
