Application for Merger [35 Pa.B. 4272] An application has been received requesting approval of the merger of United Dental Care of Pennsylvania, Inc., a risk assuming preferred provider organization organized under the laws of the Commonwealth, with and into Fortis Benefits Insurance Company, an admitted stock life insurance company organized under the laws of the State of Iowa. The filing was made under the Insurance Holding Companies Act (40 P. S. §§ 991.1401--991.1413). Persons wishing to comment on the grounds of public or private interest in this merger are invited to submit a written statement to the Insurance Department (Department) within 30 days from the date of publication of this notice in the Pennsylvania Bulletin.
