Citizens Advisory Council Notice of Public Meeting Change [38 Pa.B. 3934]
[Saturday, July 19, 2008]The date and location of the September meeting of the Citizens Advisory Council (Council) to the Department of Environmental Protection (Department) has been changed. Council will hold public meetings in Sayre, PA on September 9 and 10, 2008. The purpose of the meetings is to hear from interested citizens and groups from Bradford, Lycoming, Potter, Sullivan, Susquehanna and Tioga Counties on environmental issues facing the region and the work of Department. The schedule is as follows:
* Tuesday, September 9, 2008, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Best Western Grand Victorian Inn, 255 Spring Street, Sayre, PA.
* Wednesday, September 10, 2008, 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. the Best Western Grand Victorian Inn, 255 Spring Street, Sayre, PA.
The Council is a nonpartisan group of 18 citizen volunteers appointed by the Governor, Speaker of the House and the President Pro Tempore of the Senate. The Secretary of the Department also serves as a member. The Council is legislatively charged with reviewing all environmental laws of the Commonwealth, studying the work of the Department and making recommendations for the improvement.
