[Saturday, July 14, 2007]An application has been received requesting approval of the merger of Aetna Health, Inc., a corporation organized under the laws of the State of Ohio (AHI-OH), with and into Aetna Health, Inc., a corporation organized under the laws of this Commonwealth (AHI-PA). AHI-PA is licensed in this Commonwealth to operate a health maintenance organization. AHI-OH is not licensed to operate in this Commonwealth. The initial filing was received on June 28, 2007, and was made under the Insurance Holding Companies Act (40 P. S. §§ 991.1401--991.1413). Persons wishing to comment on the grounds of public or private interest in this merger are invited to submit a written statement to the Insurance Department (Department) within 14 days from the date of publication of this notice in the Pennsylvania Bulletin. Each written statement must include the name, address and telephone number of the interested party, identification of the application to which the statement is addressed and a concise statement with sufficient detail and relevant facts to inform the Department of the exact basis of the statement.
