The principal items of work and approximate quantities include clearing and grubbing, grading 254,000 cubic yards, dewatering impoundments, relocated roadway 1,530 linear feet, drainage excavation 765 cubic yards, high velocity erosion control mulch blanket 2,315 square yards, subsurface drain 1,595 linear feet, tree planting 7,171 each, seeding 18.8 acres and ARRI seeding 10.5 acres.
This bid issues on June 10, 2016, and bids will be opened on July 7, 2016, at 2 p.m. Bid documents, including drawings in PDF format and Auto-Cad Map 3D format, may be downloaded for free beginning on the issue date from the Department of Environmental Protection's web site at www.dep.pa.gov/ConstructionContracts. Bid documents and drawings can also be obtained upon payment of $22, plus $8 for postage, which includes sales tax, by calling (717) 787-7820. Auto-Cad Map 3D format drawings can also be purchased on a compact disc (CD) for an additional $5 per CD. Money will not be refunded. This project is financed by the Federal government under the authority given it by the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977 (act) (30 U.S.C.A. §§ 1201—1308) and is subject to the act and to the Federal grant for this project.
