    Retention of a Developer

       The Turnpike Commission will consider entering into a long-term (maximum of 50 years), unsubordinated ground lease of 1.6+ total acres in Kidder Township, Carbon County, along Rt. 940, adjacent to Exit 35 (Pocono) of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The site currently contains a small tourist information trailer operated by the Pocono Mountains Vacation Bureau and is surrounded by commercial activity, including motels and restaurants. TheCommission is working in conjunction with the Pocono Mountains Vacation Bureau on this project, and will consider proposals from all qualified firms for development of this property.

       All interested parties will attend a mandatory meeting scheduled for 11 a.m., July 18, 1996, at the Turnpike Commission's Eastern Regional Office, located at 251 Flint Hill Road, King of Prussia, PA. Proposals will not be accepted or considered from parties who fail to attend this meeting. The proposals must be received by the Commission at its Harrisburg office by 4 p.m., September 20, 1996.
