Mercer Mutual Insurance Company Mutual-to-Stock Conversion and Subsequent Acquisition; Conclusion of Public Comment Period

   The Insurance Department (Department) published a notice of receipt of the previously referenced filings and a notice of a comment period at 33 Pa.B. 704 (February 1, 2003) but did not provide a closing date for filing written comments with the Department. Subsequently, at the conclusion of the Department's public informational hearing on May 15, 2003, the Department announced that the public comment period will end on the close of business on June 13, 2003.

   Persons wishing to comment on the grounds of public or private interest are invited to submit a written statement to the Department on or before June 13, 2003. Written statements must include the name, address and telephone number of the interested party, identification of the application to which the statement is addressed and a concise statement with sufficient detail and relevant facts to inform the Department of the exact basis of the statement.
