Application of Pittsburgh Specialty Hospital for Exception [32 Pa.B. 2541] Under 28 Pa. Code § 51.33 (relating to requests for exceptions), the Department of Health (Department) hereby gives notice that Pittsburgh Specialty Hospital has requested an exception to the requirements of 28 Pa. Code § 571.1 (relating to minimum standards), which requires compliance with minimum standards contained in the following publication: Guidelines for Design and Construction of Hospital and Healthcare Facilities. The facility specifically requests exemption from the following standards contained in this publication: 9.5.D1 (relating to covered entrances for pickup of patients after surgery), 9.5.F2.d (relating to minimum size of Class C operating rooms) and 9.5.H2.a(3) (relating to details and finishes on ceilings in restricted areas).
These requests are on file with the Department.
