The principal items of work and approximate quantities include mobilization and demobilization, preparation and implementation of the erosion and sediment pollution control plan, access road construction 1,060 square yards, brush barrier 400 linear feet, pipe culvert 18" diameter smooth interior corrugated polyethylene 160 linear feet, grading 34,000 cubic yards, erosion matting 3,860 square yards, R-3 rock 400 square yards, R-5 rock 50 square yards, relocation of water main 125 linear feet, and cover material excavation and placement 21,600 cubic yards. This bid issues on May 13, 2016, and bids will be opened on June 16, 2016, at 2 p.m. Bid documents, including drawings in PDF format and Auto-Cad Map 3D format, may be downloaded for free beginning on the issue date from the Department of Environmental Protection's web site at www.dep.pa.gov/ConstructionContracts. Bid documents and drawings can also be obtained upon payment of $22, plus $8 for postage, which includes sales tax, by calling (717) 787-7820. Auto-Cad Map 3D format drawings can also be purchased on a compact disc (CD) for an additional $5 per CD. Money will not be refunded. This project is financed by the Federal government under the authority given it by the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of1977 (act) (30 U.S.C.A. §§ 1201—1308) and is subject to the act and to the Federal grant for this project.
