Acceptance of Rulemaking Petition for Study

    [27 Pa.B. 2089]

The Environmental Quality Board (Board), at its April 15, 1997, meeting, accepted a petition for further study under 25 Pa. Code Chapter 23 (relating to Environmental Quality Board Policy for Processing Petitions).

The petition was submitted by an organization known as Bushkill Falls, which requests the Board to redesignate Little Bushkill Creek, located in Pike County, from ''High Quality'' to ''Exceptional Value.''

The Department is currently reviewing this petition and will forward its report evaluating the petition to the Board. If the Department proposes amendments to the existing regulations and the Board concurs, the amendments will be processed as a proposed rulemaking with opportunity for public comment.

Copies of this petition are available from the Environmental Quality Board, P. O. Box 8477, Harrisburg, PA 17105-8477, (717) 787-4526.
