Application for Acquisition of Stock of Calvert Insurance Company [28 Pa.B. 1996] Markel Corporation has filed an application to acquire an additional 10% of the issued and outstanding stock of Gryphon Holdings, Inc. which is the sole shareholder of Calvert Insurance Company. The filing was made under the requirements set forth under the Insurance Holding Company Act (40 P. S. § 991.1402 et seq.). Persons wishing to comment on the acquisition are invited to submit a written statement to the Insurance Department (Department) within 30 days from the date of this issue of the Pennsylvania Bulletin.
