Application for Approval to Acquire Additional Shares [27 Pa.B. 1988] Allmerica Financial Corporation, a Delaware Corporation, has submitted a plan, whereby it proposes to acquire additional control of Allmerica Financial Benefit Insurance Company, a Pennsylvania domiciled stock fire insurance company. The filing was made under requirements set forth under Article XIV of The Insurance Company Law, the act of May 17, 1921, P. L. 682, No. 284, as amended. Persons wishing to comment on the grounds of public or private interest to the issuance of the Department's order approving of this acquisition are invited to submit a written statement to the Insurance Department within 30 days from the date of this issue of the Pennsylvania Bulletin. Each written statement must include name, address and telephone number of the author, identification of the application to which the statement is addressed, and a concise statement with sufficient detail to inform the Insurance Department of the exact basis of the statement and the relevant facts upon which it is based.
