Lake Erie Creel Limits for Walleye and Yellow Perch—2016 [46 Pa.B. 1978]
[Saturday, April 16, 2016]The Executive Director of the Fish and Boat Commission, acting under the authority of 58 Pa. Code § 69.12b (relating to Lake Erie walleye and yellow perch adaptive management for establishing daily limits), has established the daily limits for walleye and yellow perch that are necessary and appropriate for the better protection and management of the fishery. Effective May 1, 2016, the daily limit for walleye in Lake Erie is 6 and the daily limit for yellow perch is 30.
The Executive Director may revise the daily limit for walleye or yellow perch if he determines that conditions so warrant. The daily limits will remain in effect until April 30, 2017, or until the Executive Director establishes new daily limits. Anglers are responsible for obtaining the current daily limits for walleye and yellow perch on Lake Erie including Presque Isle Bay prior to fishing those waters.
