[Saturday, April 16, 2011]On March 24, 2011, the Insurance Department (Department) received from Liberty Mutual Fire Insurance Company (LMFIC) and The First Liberty Insurance Corporation (TFLIC) a filing for rate level changes for private passenger automobile insurance.
LMFIC requests overall increases of 7.1%, amounting to annual increases of $5,724,000 to be effective August 5, 2011, for renewal business. This overall figure represents an average; the effect of this filing on the rates for individual consumers may vary.
TFLIC requests overall increases of 7.3%, amounting to annual increases of $11,821,000 to be effective August 5, 2011, for renewal business. This overall figure represents an average; the effect of this filing on the rates for individual consumers may vary.
Unless formal administrative action is taken prior to May 23, 2011, the subject filing may be deemed approved by operation of law.
