[Saturday, March 8, 2008]On February 15, 2008, the Insurance Department (Department) received from Liberty Mutual Fire Insurance Company, Liberty Insurance Corporation and The First Liberty Insurance Corporation (company) a filing for rate level changes for private passenger automobile insurance.
The company requests an overall 2.97% increase amounting to $7.3 million annually, to be effective June 30, 2008, for new business and August 4, 2008, for renewals.
Unless formal administrative action is taken prior to April 15, 2008, the subject filing may be deemed approved by operation of law.

A copy of the filing is also available for public inspection, by appointment, during normal working hours at the Department's regional office in Harrisburg.
