HealthGuard; Demographic Rate Filing [34 Pa.B. 1405] On February 18, 2004, HealthGuard submitted a demographic filing to apply age/gender/contract size and industry rating factors to the base rate for small groups in associations and purchasing pools having 50 or fewer contracts enrolled in HealthGuard or Highmark Blue Shield programs. The change in methodology is will be revenue neutral to HealthGuard. The filing will apply to client notification dates on or after July 1, 2004.
This filing is available for public inspection during normal working hours at the Insurance Department's regional office in Harrisburg.
