Pennsylvania Sunshine Program Installer Registration [39 Pa.B. 1448]
[Saturday, March 21, 2009]The Department of Environmental Protection (Department) is publishing applications for solar photovoltaic (PV) and solar thermal (hot water) installation contractors wishing to register to participate in the new Pennsylvania Sunshine Program (Program). This new incentive program will be available later this spring for homeowners and small businesses undertaking solar energy projects. The Program will provide $100 million in grants to Commonwealth homeowners and small businesses to purchase and install PV and solar hot water systems. Program applicants will be required to use an installer from the Department's approved list.
Installers interested in participating in the program may obtain an application at www.depweb.state.pa.us, select ''Energy Independence.''
