HealthAmerica; Eastern and Western Service Areas; Rate Filing [33 Pa.B. 1429] On February 28, 2003, HealthAmerica submitted rate filings nos. A67962001 and A67961001 for the eastern and western service areas requesting approval of medical rate increases of 19.2% for the eastern service area and 22.4% for the western service area. The proposed rate increase will be effective April 1, 2003. Approximately 101,219 members will be affected by the increase in the eastern service area and 82,522 in the western service area. The proposed increase will produce additional revenue of $3,085,155 and $2,489,680 for the eastern and western services areas, respectively.
Copies of the filing will be available for public inspection, by appointment, during normal working hours at the Insurance Department's regional offices in Harrisburg, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Erie.
Interested parties are invited to submit written comments, suggestions or objections to Michael W.
