Lake Erie Commercial Fishing--1998 [28 Pa.B. 1360] The Executive Director of the Fish and Boat Commission (Commission), acting under the authority of 58 Pa. Code § 69.31(c), has established the total allowable 1998 commercial catch for yellow perch from the Pennsylvania waters of Lake Erie. The 1998 total allowable commercial catch for yellow perch is 35,000 pounds. The commercial fishing season for yellow perch on Lake Erie shall end when the Executive Director determines that 35,000 pounds of yellow perch probably have been taken by commercial fishing interests fishing in the Pennsylvania waters of Lake Erie.
The Executive Director of the Commission, acting under 58 Pa. Code § 69.31(b), has determined that the 1998 total allowable commercial catch of walleye from the Pennsylvania waters of Lake Erie is 18,000 pounds. The commercial fishing season for walleye on Lake Erie shall end when the Executive Director determines that 18,000 pounds of walleye probably have been taken by commercial fishing interests fishing in the Pennsylvania waters of Lake Erie.
