Lower Neshaminy Creek Watershed Conservation Plan [35 Pa.B. 742] The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (Department), Bureau of Recreation and Conservation has approved the Lower Neshaminy Creek Watershed Conservation Plan (Plan) and is placing the portion of the Neshaminy Creek Watershed studied in the Plan in Bucks County on the Pennsylvania Rivers Conservation Registry (Registry).
The Heritage Conservancy (Conservancy) submitted the Plan and other required information to gain Registry status.
After review of the Plan and other information, the Department has determined that the Pennsylvania Rivers Conservation Program (Program) requirements have been satisfied and places the following on the Registry:
* A portion of the Neshaminy Creek Watershed, located within the municipal boundaries of Hulmeville Borough, Langhorne Borough, Langhorne Manor Borough, Lower Southampton Township, Middletown Township, Northampton Township, Pendel Borough and Upper Southampton Township, Bucks County--60.7 square miles.
* All tributary streams within the Neshaminy Creek Watershed, located within the municipal boundaries of Hulmeville Borough, Langhorne Borough, Langhorne Manor Borough, Lower Southampton Township, Middletown Township, Northampton Township, Pendel Borough and Upper Southampton Township, Bucks County.
* A portion of the Queen Anne Creek Watershed, located within the municipal boundaries of Middletown and Lower Makefield Townships, Bucks County.
This action takes effective February 5, 2005. Projects identified in the Plan become eligible for implementation, development or acquisition grant funding through the Program.
