188 Finding--Pike County

  • Finding

    Pike County

    [31 Pa.B. 710]

Pursuant to the provisions of 71 P. S. Section 2002(b), the Secretary of Transportation makes the following written finding:

The Department of Transportation plans to widen, reconstruct, rehabilitate and resurface S.R. 2001 between S.R. 2006 and S.R. 0739. The total length of the improvements will be approximately 19,140 feet (3.6 Miles). The subject project is located in Delaware and Dingman Townships, Pike County.

The proposed project is subject to a 2002 Evaluation due to the use of land within the boundary of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.

Mitigation measures to be taken to minimize harm to the Section 2002 resource will include tree plantings, parkland replacement and parking lot construction as described in the CEE/Section 2002 Evaluation and the executed Memorandum of Understanding.

The environmental, economic, social, and other effects of the proposed project as enumerated in Section 2002 of the Administrative Code, have been considered. It has been concluded that there is no feasible and prudent alternative to the project as designed and all reasonable steps have been taken to minimize such effects.

No adverse environmental effect is likely to result from the project.

    BRADLEY L. MALLORY,
    Secretary
