Contemplated Sale of Land No Longer Needed for Transportation Purposes [45 Pa.B. 939]
[Saturday, February 21, 2015]The Department of Transportation (Department), under the Sale of Transportation Lands Act (71 P. S. §§ 1381.1—1381.3), intends to sell certain land owned by the Department.
The following is the property available for sale by the Department.
Borough of Moosic, Lackawanna County. The parcel contains 6.78 acres of unimproved land situated along Interstate 81 southbound on ramp at Davis Street. Estimated fair market value is $650,000. Parcel is bordered by Limited Access Right-of-Way. There is no access to this property from Davis Street (SR 3016) or the Interstate 81 ramp. This parcel is a portion of the 19.74-acre parcel acquired by the Department in 2000 from Scranton Lackawanna Industrial Building Company.
