[Saturday, February 18, 2012]On February 3, 2012, the Insurance Department (Department) received from The Travelers Indemnity Company, Farmington Casualty Company, The Automobile Insurance Company of Hartford, Connecticut, The Charter Oak Fire Insurance Company, The Phoenix Insurance Company and The Travelers Indemnity Company of America a filing for a rate level change for homeowners insurance.
The companies request an overall 9.01% increase amounting to $10,423,434 to be effective on July 3, 2012. This overall figure represents an average, the effect of this filing on the rates for individual consumers may vary.
Unless formal administrative action is taken prior to March 4, 2012, the subject filing may be deemed approved by operation of law.
