GENERAL SERVICESRequest for Bids [30 Pa.B. 6951] The Department of General Services, State Surplus is seeking bidders that are interested in purchasing a bridge in Lehigh County. The bridge is owned by the Dept. of Transportation located at Wannamakers, PA. The bridge is listed on the National Historic Register and is known as Henszey's Bridge that crosses over a stream known as the Ontelaunee Creek. The bridge was constructed in 1869 and is a pony truss type with bowstring design and constructed of wrought iron with a wooden deck. It measures 96` in length and is 17`2" wide. It has been closed to all traffic for over 10 years.
The successful bidder will be responsible for the removal of this bridge and to restore it to the specifications formulated by the PA Historical & Museum Commission.
