INSURANCE DEPARTMENT Aetna Health Insurance; Small Group (with Fewer than 51 Subscribers) Rate Filing [41 Pa.B. 6948]
[Saturday, December 24, 2011]Aetna Health Insurance requests approval to increase the Commercial HMO rates for all groups with fewer than 51 average subscribers. The average requested rate increase is 4.1% with a range of 0% to 9.3%. The proposed rate increase would affect approximately 1,200 members and would generate additional revenue of about $800,000 annually. The requested effective date of the change is April 1, 2012.
Unless formal administrative action is taken prior to March 1, 2012, the subject filing may be deemed approved by operation of law.
