  • Application and Request for Plan Approval of a Merger

       Fidelity National Title Insurance Company of New York, a New York domiciled title insurance company, has submitted a Plan of Merger, whereby it proposes to merge with Fidelity National Title Insurance Company of Pennsylvania, a Pennsylvania domiciled title insurance company. The survivor will be Fidelity National Title Insurance Company of New York. The initial filing was received on December 6, 1996, and was made under requirements set forth under the Business Corporation Law of 1988, 15 Pa.C.S. §§ 1921--1932 and 21205--21207. Persons wishing to comment on the grounds of public or private interest to the issuance of the Department's order approving of this merger are invited to submit a written statement to the Insurance Department within 15 days from the date of this issue of the Pennsylvania Bulletin. Each written statement must include name, address and telephone number of the author, identification of the application to which the statement is addressed, and a concise statement with sufficient detail to inform the Insurance Department of the exact basis of the statement and the relevant facts upon which it is based.
