Rate Filing; Harleysville Mutual Insurance Company; Huron Insurance Company; Homeowners Insurance

   On December 3, 1997, the Insurance Department (Department) received from Harleysville Mutual Insurance Company and Huron Insurance Company a filing for a rate level change for homeowners insurance.

   The company requests an overall 5.3% increase amounting to $1,031,000 annually, to be effective February 15, 1998 for all new and renewal business.

   Unless formal administrative action is taken prior to February 2, 1998 the subject filing may be deemed approved by operation of law.

   Copies of the filing will be available for public inspection, by appointment, during normal working hours at the Department's offices in Harrisburg, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Erie.

   Interested parties are invited to submit written comments, suggestions or objections to Candice G. Backlarz, Insurance Department, Bureau of Regulation of Rates and Policies, Room 1311, Strawberry Square, Harrisburg, PA 17120, within 30 days after publication of this notice in the Pennsylvania Bulletin.
